About

I am a fourth-year student at the University of Chicago studying Environmental Studies and Math, with a deep commitment to environmental policy, land use, and equitable conservation. As a lifelong resident of the Great Lakes Region — commonly known as the Rust Belt — I bring a unique perspective on the intersection of environmental restoration, infrastructure, and community development.

I believe that what is good for the environment can and should be good for humans. My work reflects this principle: I have worked on sewer infrastructure projects aimed at reducing pollution and flood risk, and I have collaborated on community-based environmental programs highlighting how working-class neighborhoods on Chicago’s Southeast Side have led and benefited from restoration efforts.

My background in mathematics equips me to think critically and systematically about complex, layered challenges. I am drawn to projects that require unpacking messy, multifaceted systems and crafting actionable, inclusive solutions.

Looking ahead, I hope to advance land conservation initiatives that preserve habitat, promote biodiversity, and provide affordable, restorative green spaces for human communities. Long term, I aim to pursue a career in environmental law to advocate for policies that serve both people and the planet.
